Hangzhou Normal University เรียกย่อว่า "HNU" เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีชื่อเสียงแห่งหนึ่งของประเทศจีน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในด้านของ Liberal Arts , Teachers education , Fine Arts และ Music Education ประกอบไปด้วยทั้งหมด 18 สถาบัน ได้แก่ School of Liberal Arts , School of Pedagogy , School of Elementary Education , School of Foreign Languages , School of Science , School of Life Sciences , School of Information Technology , School of Medicine , Hygiene and Management , School of Clinical Medicine , School of Nursing , School of Music Art , School of Fine Arts , School of Physical and Health Education , Qianjiang College , Fundamental Department of Social Sciences and Department of Fundamental Medicine ก่อตั้งขึ้น มหาวิทยาลัย Hangzhou Normal University (HNU) ประกอบไปด้วย หลักสูตรปริญญาตรี 37 หลักสูตร หลักสูตรปริญญาโท 19 หลักสูตร และหลักสูตรศึกษาต่อประเทศจีน ทั้งระยะสั้น ระยะยาว HNU ประกอบไปด้วย หลักสูตรปริญญาตรี 37 หลักสูตร และหลักสูตรปริญญาโท 19 หลักสูตร HNU มีทั้งหมด 6 แคมปัส มีคณาจารย์ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิกว่า 120 ท่าน มีนักศึกษาหลักสูตรภาคปกติกว่า 15,000 คน และนักศึกษาทางไกลกว่า 20,000 คนHNU เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยแรกๆ ที่เปิดรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติ โดยการควบคุมดูแลของกระทรวงศึกษาธิการจีน ตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. HNU เปิดรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติจากทั่วโลก อาทิเช่น นักศึกษาที่มาจากประเทศ สหรัฐอเมริกา, ญี่ปุ่น, เกาหลี, ออสเตรเลีย, ฝรั่งเศส, ฟินแลนด์, แม็กซิโก, สิงคโปร์, ไทย, เวียดนาม, มาเลเซีย, อินโดนีเซีย, เวียดนาม, เป็นต้น  
หลักสูตรการเรียนการสอนหลักสูตรภาษาจีนระยะสั้น (Short-term Chinese Program) เนื้อหาโดยรวมดังนี้
- คอร์สหลัก: Elementary Chinese, Elementary Chinese Speaking, Elementary Chinese Listening, Introduction to Chinese Characters, etc.- คอร์สเลือก: Chinese Culture, Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, Chinese Cooking, Chinese Music, etc. หลักสูตรภาษาจีนระยะยาว (Long-term Chinese Programs) ระยะเวลา 1 เทอมขึ้นไป จะแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ระดับคือ ระดับต้น (Primary Level), ระดับกลาง (Middle Level), และระดับสูง (Senior Level) เนื้อหาของหลักสูตรโดยรวม มีดังนี้
- คอร์สหลัก: Elementary Chinese, Elementary Chinese Speaking, Elementary Chinese Listening, Introduction to Chinese Characters, Mandarin Correction, Intermediate Chinese, Intermediate Chinese Speaking, Intermediate Chinese Writing, Chinese Culture, Advanced Chinese, Advanced Chinese Speaking, Advanced Chinese Writing, Newspaper & Magazine Reading, etc.- คอร์สเลือก: Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, Chinese Music Chinese History Chinese Folklore, Chinese Religion, Chinese Cooking, etc. หลักสูตรอื่นๆ (Other Programs) ดังนี้ Modern Chinese, Ancient Chinese, Ancient Chinese Literature, Modern & Contemporary Chinese Literature, Modern & Contemporary Chinese History, Chinese Philosophy, Principles of Pedagogy, Curriculum and Instruction, Developmental and Educational Psychology, Figure Painting, Landscape Painting, Flower & Birds Painting, Oil Painting, Calligraphy, Seal Cutting, Vocal Music, Piano Playing, Chinese Folk Music Instruments Playing, Folk Dancing, Conducting, Composition, History of Chinese Music, Chinese Traditional Sports, etc.
